I am a huge fan of poetry and consider certain songs to have some of the best poetry. I love reading lyrics separate from the actual song/music to really grasp the message without the emotion. Once I read the lyrics, the next time I hear the song I am able to really feel the song. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone or not. lol
Anyways, if you have ever written some lyrics, I would LOVE to read them! :)
I’m not ready to share my lyrics online but here are some I have always found touching (Jeff Buckley Hallelujah)
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the HallelujahThe first verse of that song is great too (it’s all about music!)
I LOVE that song! I actually have it on my ipod. It is such a beautiful and powerful song. Anything that can take basic words and express them so deeply gets and A++ in my book.
